Hirofumi Hanaoka and the team at Kansai Medical University, Japan developed a new laser fiber and method for illumination of narrow cavities, such as esophagus. The new fiber together with ML7710 laser allowed better illumination of the entire tumor compared to existing fibers, resulting in tumor growth suppression.
