Jikei University School of Medicine published in Communications Biology journal about developing a next-generation light-based approach to tackle pathogens, called photoimmuno-antimicrobial strategy (PIAS). This technology was shown to eliminate a broad spectrum of different classes of pathogens, such as viruses, fungi, and bacteria.
