Description
The laser is a master oscillator power amplifier (MOPA) design utilizing a Distributed Bragg Reflector laser (DBR) as the master oscillator and a tapered amplifier (TA) as the power amplifier. This design preserves the seed’s narrow linewidth while scaling the output to 1 W in free space or 500 mW ex fiber. To avoid impact of optical back reflections, the system incorporates optical isolators both after the seed laser and after the amplifier.
