Tissue factor (TF) is a cell surface protein that plays a role in blood clotting but is associated with many cancers (proliferation, metastases, angiogenesis, immune escape). In this study, TF-targeted photoimmunotherapy was developed and tested in vitro and in vivo against various cancer cell lines using IR700-conjugated Tisotumab activated with the ML7710. TF-targeted NIR-PIT caused cell death in a light dose-dependent manner and suppressed tumor growth and improved survival rates compared to controls.
