Vascular-targeted therapy (VTP) with WST11 was evaluated for muscle-invasive bladder cancer treatment in orthotopic mouse model for safety and efficacy. Whole bladder was illuminated with a frontal diffuser connected to ML7710 at 85 mW/cm2 irradiance. Therapy resulted in selective ablation of the bladder tumors 4-10 days after VTP, anti-tumor immune response as shown by increased levels of immune cells, and prolonged survival of mice compared to control mice.
