Flow cytometry requires stable, precisely-shaped laser light for accurate fluorescence detection. Modulight’s ML6640 laser engine integrates automatic beam alignment and built-in beam shaping to deliver stable, uniform illumination over time. This work presents updated characterization results of the ML6640, including beam uniformity, optical stability, and alignment performance. Measurements show consistent power output, high beam quality, and minimal drift. Improved electronics control enhance precision, while mechanical updates reduce the overall system footprint. These advancements make the ML6640 a reliable, low-maintenance solution for next-generation flow cytometry platforms.
