Reactive oxygen species (ROS), and notably hydrogen peroxide H2O2, are cellular second messengers that are known to control a variety of signaling processes.  Modulight ML6600 series laser was used to excite colloidal nanoparticles for luminescence measurements as part of a rapid ROS detection probe. The probe was used to study signaling pathway kinetics in living cells.
