Configurable multi-wavelength laser light engine for endoscopic fluorescence imaging

Using different fluorescent dyes for clinical applications need endoscopic illumination sources with multiple wavelengths. Fluorescent imaging with simultaneous white light overlay image benefit from laser light sources for fluorescence excitation and white light illumination to allow for easy spectral filtering on imaging side. Imaging of complementary fluorescent dyes adds requirements for the light source. Modulight ML7710 oncology laser platform was developed to fulfill the requirements of multi-wavelength endoscopic fluorescence imaging. This medical device platform enables multi-wavelength fluorescence excitation with RGB white light illumination and support for endoscopic light guides. Low speckle contrast is achieved also with high-speed imaging applications. Cloud connectivity enables configuration, data logging, planning and control with platform for future machine learning and AI analysis.
