Accurate light dosimetry during PDT is crucial for treatment efficacy. The study presents an improved method for analyzing light fluence distribution in pleural PDT using a standardized anatomical coordinate system and advanced computational modeling. An infrared navigation system was used together with an improved treatment wand to track light delivery in real-time. The coordinate system allowed direct comparison across patients and showed acceptable light fluence uniformity with standard deviation of 6.6% in 11 patients. ML7710 was used as a light source for PDT.
