On display at PW 2015: ML7710
ML7710 is CE and ETL marked medical laser platform suitable for various applications, such as photodynamic therapy, surgery and photo disinfection. It is equipped with all required functionalities for safety and usability. The standard features include: easy-to-use touch screen user interface, multiple individually addressable fiber output channels, aiming beam, smart internal calibration module, foot/hand switch, fiber sensors, and safety interlocks.
ML6000 series: Laser modules
Good basis for tailored laser can be a proven platform such as ML6400 for single-mode, ML6500 for multimode or ML6600 for multi-wavelength laser. While originally developed for medical these intelligent laser modules have found their way to numerous applications from scientific instrumentation and medical diagnostics to industrial processes.
Modulight contracts with Finnish hospitals
Modulight was recently awarded an R&D contract to develop the usability and connectivity of its medical lasers with clinicians and local hospitals in Finland. The 2-year contract valued at 400 keur was awarded by TEKES, the Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation. The program focuses on improving the end user experience and maximizing the ROI of the medical laser systems as part of healthcare ecosystem. It involves development of generic technology building blocks supporting medical equipment connectivity to hospital IT systems, identification and tracking of consumables, and remote equipment diagnostics and field support for end users.

The platform design and development is based on Modulight’s multi-purpose CE and ETL marked ML7710 medical laser product and will be carried out in cooperation with a cross functional team from hospital IT, hospital engineering and clinical end-users. The program supports directly all the current application fields of ML7710, including photodynamic therapy (PDT), surgery, and photo disinfection.
